Liverpool Echo

On Sunday night I went to the Carling Academy to see Echo and the Bunnymen. I went with Lorraine, Candy and Mimi McCulloch, which was great as it meant we had a great spot to observe the king of cool at work. It was the first time I’d seen the Bunnymen live, and I can see why they’ve sold out for two nights running.

The Bunnymen’s music is just as contemporary now as it was in their height in the 80s. I’m glad I made the effort from my usual Sunday night on the couch to see what are genuine Liverpool legends. If there’s any tickets left for their Ocean Rain gig at the Royal Albert Hall next September I urge you to get some.
